Public Apology to Carly T Christopher

About a year ago, Carly came back from CHA or HIA or CIA (one of those!) and proudly told us that she had ordered felt. I being the mean girl that I am, immediately made fun of her...what the heck was I going to do with felt? All I could picture was the Sunday School storyboards...didn't really see it in my scrapbooks. Well, fast forward a year to March 18th...I'm taking an Elsie class and yep! You guessed it! I'm hooked on felt!!!! Right after the class  I ran down to Carly and begged her to order felt, in every size and color, as much as she could order. Carly (being the nice and PRETTY girl that she is) ordered it for me...and she only made fun of me a little bit. So now we have felt...a whole rainbow of it! It's in the front right next to the best idea book I've ever looked at...the new one from Autumn Leaves...Freestyle. This book is amazing....just full of eye candy. It makes me want to create and play. You should get it, you'll thank me and you'll want to use felt on your next page, and thanks to Carly it's right there, a whole rainbow of it!

I'm packing up my stuff for the crop today...I'm SO excited!! What are you guys bringing to work on? I have about 8 mini albums to finish, but I think I'm just going to start a new one...that's so much more fun, don't you think? See you tomorrow night!

A simple girl's dream come true!

Okay...for real. How much happier could I be going into this weekend?  All my TOM girls, some of my best friends from Baby & Me Group, my twin sister!, and lots and lots of great friends I've met through the store all gathered together to raise over $10,000 for Children's Hospital in honor of my nephew. And during all this fun, I get to eat lots of yummy food AND scrapbook! A girl's dream come true! :)  Hope to see you there! Elizabeth

Good Morning, Ladies!

Can I just say how AMAZING the door prizes for the crop are?  You're going to LOVE them! SERIOUSLY!  Quite a few ladies spent the evening last night putting together the awesome goody bags, door prizes and class packs for the crop this weekend!  I'm getting so excited for this crop!  I'm a little scared though, too.  Why, you say?  Well, I've never scrapped anywhere but my house, if you don't include classes, and I'm a little over whelmed with what to bring.  I don't want to bring a lot, but what if I want... (something I know I have at home, but not with me) LOL!  I'm sure I will be fine and I keep getting told to plan, plan, plan, but how can I plan?  I kind of like flying by the seat of my pants when I scrap!  I'm sure I'm over thinking it and all will be well!  I can't wait til Friday!!!

I also wanted to post a couple shots of my Favorite Family Photos mini book I did in one of Elsie's classes last weekend!  This was so fun!  I was totally inspired to be free in my scrapping!  Look forward to more fun stuff in the store along the lines of the new freestyle book by Autumn Leaves!

here we go...

so here we are...at the dawn of the week of "the crop!"  isn't it exciting?  we are about to embark on so much hustle and bustle at the store this week...preparations, schedules, packaging, planning!  i am so amazed at our staff, customers, friends & family, manufacturers, reps, etc for being so responsive to this wonderful event!  when i talk about it to people who want to know why i wear a shirt that says "we {heart} mighty max!" about 4 times a week (and a lot on the weekends, just so i can show it off in public places), i get really excited to give them all the details and i get so proud that my eyes always well up...i know, i'm a dork!  what can i say?  i just think it is amazing, and i cannot wait to see all the happy faces of our croppers on friday night (i'm pretty sure i'll see a lot of you this week while you stock up and prep for the night!---don't forget adhesives!!!)  thank you everyone!

on a personal note, my weekend was uneventful, but fulfilled.  why you say?  well, i have been fighting this nasty cold/allergy/whatever thing for over a week now...and let's just say i will be calling my doctor first thing in the am on monday...bleh!  but, i got so much done around my house...i cleaned, organized, cooked, finished all my laundry (which usually NEVER happens in my house!), sorted my son's room, dusted everything, cleaned my crop desk, did a layout (see pic below), and i even baked a banana bread!  i don't like being sick, but i sure seem to get a lot done around my house when i am...maybe everyone leaves me alone when they think i'm sick???

fun new arrivals!

we got a few fun new things at the store...

NEW Paper Salon stamps! We got some really cute new wood mounted stamps from their kid-themed collection like a princess, some circus stuff, sports stuff...so cute. AND we got their NEW unmounted stamps. These unmounted stamps are so cool! They are unmounted rubber but they are pre-cut with cling foam. And they come in the cutest tins! AND there's more! We got 2 of their NEW lines of paper! Sara told me I had to stop ordering cute stuff but I can't! 

Also in is the NEW issue of Simple Scrapbooks. I'm proud to say that the CK School Memories book ad featuring Miss Alisen's layout is on page 76. It's so neat that she's going to be published in an idea book! I'm so proud!

Thank you Tim for supporting our "Mighty Maxwell" Guild...you know that we all just love Tim!  (He, by the way, donated so many fun goodies for the 20 Hour Crop and Silent Auction!) And I heard a fun little rumor that he might just be visiting again later this year...hmmm, that'd be fun!

And Tracy Kyle! We just adore you and your beautiful daughter!  Thanks for visiting this weekend AND for the awesome prizes for the 20 Hour Crop!  Tracy is the mover and shaker behind so many great projects, including many of the books in the "Designing with..." series...she is one super talented gal (and we're thrilled she'll be teaching at Treasury later this year!)

a happy little note

I just wanted to write a happy little note (sing a little happy song while you read this and you'll understand what a happy, goofy mood I'm in)...

We received new books today at the store, Paper Crafts Wedding Creations, Simple Scrapbooks Scrapbooking Celebrations 2 and Simple Scrapbooks Designing Scrapbooks 2. Super fun!

Elsie is coming tomorrow! We are going to have so much fun this weekend!

Ali posted this cute pic of her in her Mighty Max shirt on her blog, ali's blog. I love her and I can't wait until she comes to the store again.

And I forgot to tell you a cute story from my dinner with Sara the other night. We were at Applebee's and I was facing the door. I saw my honey Shaun leave with his mama, (he was out to dinner with his mama, isn't that cute?!). I didn't even know he was there. I told Sara and she said she thought it was a big chocolate cupcake or something because of the look on my face. Isn't that funny? I love him more than chocolate! (Just had to share. Dream Dinners!

I am so excited to share with you a super fun promotion we're hosting with our good friend, Kelli, who owns Dream Dinners (a very cool place).  Dream Dinners provides everything you need to assemble delicious, nutritious dinners for your family.  Once you have assembled your dinners, they are ready for your refrigerator or freezer. To raise funds for the "Mighty Maxwell" Guild (all proceeds benefit Children's Hospital's Uncompensated Care Fund), Treasury of Memories has teamed with Dream Dinners Bellingham to run an exciting fundraiser from March 15th - April 15th.

Dream Dinners Bellingham will donate to the "Mighty Maxwell" Guild $20 for every 12-dinner session, and $10 for every 6-dinner session between March 15th - April 15th when you mention "Mighty Maxwell." Twelve dinners cost around $200 and six dinners cost about $120. Each dinner provides 4 to 6 servings. For smaller families, customers can split the recipe and prepare two dinners each with 2-3 servings. All the pans and freezer bags are included.

I just wanted to add my two cents today, and a few things I forgot to share...

After Elizabeth left today, I checked in some fun stuff from Creative Imaginations like fun theme kind of stuff...twins, pirates, john deere, etc. also did I remember to tell you that Chatterbox was here?! I'm sure you all knew but it's so beautiful I had to make sure. And we also got some of the Heidi Swapp florals, so cute! We just got a little bit but there are more florals and more Heidi stuff coming. Other new arrivals include Making Memories new idea book decorate life: scrapbook, new Melissa Frances papers and keep your eyes out for a new display with some of the new Pinecone Press Self-Centered stuff.   

In other fun news, I just had dinner with Miss Sara Blair and we were talking about some fun stuff for April and beyond. Sara is amazing and you are going to be blown away by the stuff we have up our sleeves! I'm sooooo excited! Here's a hint...it might have something to do with the fun home decor stuff that came today. have a happy night! carly
