so much to say...

hi everybody,

oh-my-gosh, i have a lot to tell you! there's lots of fun stuff happening this weekend and i'm just feeling great! or i might just be a little crazy because i've been up since 5am! woo-hoo for cardio kickboxing! so anyways...

ok...so Tim is here getting ready for his class tonight. there are just a few spots left in the classes and you don't need anything but yourself so if you have free time this weekend, come join us!

AND we have lots of new products...new KI, more paper mache, new paper crafts magazine, new memory makers magazine, and Tim's awesome stamps from Stamper's Anonymous.

AND it's double keytag punch day today and tomorrow.

AND we are doing a fun QK demo tomorrow from 10am to 1pm with some surprise specials. if you don't have a QK tool yet, tomorrow is your day, come see me!

mini books...

have you seen these, yet?  such fun fun new dies to design custom mini books in 6x6 & 4x4 with different covers, wraps, inside pages & fun tabbies.  you need to come into the store and check out the cool samples by our amazing DT and design your own album.  i'm addicted to them!  so so fun!  all the fun things you can cut them out of... chipboard, cardstock, patterned paper, transparencies, felt... the list goes on and on!  you just have to go try them out!  oh, and the big die cut machine is the best!  especially now that i know how to use it correctly! LOL!  ask the girls... i'll leave you with a shot of the cover of mine and will get more photos of the rest when i'm in the store the next time.

photo holder project from the market

hi everybody,

here's our cute project from saturday...we made cute little flower-photo-holder-magnets. so fun and easy, just a few flowers from a punch, layered together with a cute center and a page pebble and then on a clothespin, on a magnet. you can see it all in real life at the store and pick up a project sheet.

so today is day 3 of cardio kickboxing, (i'm assuming that you all want to be kept up on my progress...right?) and i love it! when i wake up at 5:15am i think that it totally sucks but when i get home at 7:15am, i feel like a rockstar! so anyways, big woo-hoo for cardio kickboxing.

so guess what i did today? i went to cardio kickboxing class at 6am. 6am! that means i've been up since 5:30am. i haven't seen 5:30am since like...well mostly never! (well, ok, that's a lie because i went to cardio kickboxing on monday so really i haven't seen it since monday but i have a tendency to be dramatic!) i went with elke & kim, and even though i'm super sore, i'm feeling pretty darn happy and proud of myself. we're going again on friday. you can send cards and gifts of congratulations to carly, c/o Treasury of Memories...just kidding!

so really i have a point to this rambling post. i want to show you the beautiful stuff that came in the mail yesterday from one mr. tim holtz!

 

the first 2 pics are of the little book that tim's teaching in the "pockets full of memories" class. and the last pic is of the swatch books from the technique classes on saturday. the swatch books are so cool! alisen and i consider ourselves pretty experienced with tim's products, but we couldn't figure some of them out and we are so excited to learn!

there's still a little bit of space in the classes...:)

june's paper party project

in case you missed it, here is the project we made last saturday in paper party. it is so simple, so cute and so versatile! all you do is make a little "swatch" book with album posts, patterned paper, photos and memorabilia. this book is 4x6 so that standard photos fit perfectly. i'm using it to collect all my favorite photos and tidbits from this summer, starting with miss tammy t's birthday invite and pics. i also made a book of wedding pics from my friend kelsey's wedding and i'm going to send kelly one with all pics from her visit, (along with a cd so she can get more photos printed of course). i want to have a whole basket of these little books on my coffee table. wouldn't it be cute?! all your favorite pics from 2006? i decided i really need some little books like that because i don't always feel motivated to scrapbook all the important events, (like Christmas...i get really sick of Christmas layouts but there's always cute pics).

p.s. the little flowers on the cover were made with a fun acrylic paint technique...make designs with paint on wax paper and let dry. try free-handing shapes, putting wax paper over patterned paper/stamped images and tracing, making frames, etc. then peel up the your homemade accents and use glue stick/glue dots to adhere.

new goodies

so i know i've been totally MIA from the blog this week but i had a super good reason...my beautiful friend Kelly was here from Colorado! we had such a good time hanging around together, eating fish & chips at Jacci's, shopping on Robson street in Vancouver...just being silly girls.

while i was gone, Joe the UPS man brought about 40 boxes...no joke! we got huge re-orders of some of the best like Chatterbox, Basic Grey and 7 Gypsies. And beside the yummy favorites, there are some new rub-ons from Chatterbox and magnetic snaps from Basic Grey. super fun!

and if you have an EK Disney album and have had troubles with the refills, we now have NEW refills specifically for those albums.

We LOVE Karen!

and I think she might even love us, too! ;)  So, here's the group shot!  Pretty fun, eh?  It was such a fun day!  When I heard Karen's class was going to be 4 hours, I thought, wow, that's a really long time.  You know what?  The time just flew by!  It was such a fun class and such a fun day!  And, we learned a lot!  At least I did!  I also learned that Karen Russell is just the sweetest, funniest most real chick and we love her!  Please come back to Treasury, Karen, with your new classes in the fall!  One final thing, next time you're in the store, ask Carly how it felt to be a customer, for a change. :)
