the countdown begins!

hi everybody,

you might not have heard that i'm super excited for christmas this year....well actually you probably have heard because i won't stop talking about it! but i can't help it! elizabeth says it's because i'm in love and i think that might have something to do with it. it's our first christmas together (me and shaun) and i'm having such a good time starting traditions for us. but i ramble...

what i'm trying to say is that i want to share my holiday spirit so i thought i'd start a countdown. everyday i will post a holiday gift or decor idea from the tom girls. i personally have a few ideas i'm excited to share and my amazing co-workers are doing some awesome stuff too. if there's something you want to see, something you want more info on, etc, etc, just email me carlytee@treasuryofmemories.com.

and for our first idea, let's start with an oldie but goodie...calendars!!! calendars are are truly great gift. everybody needs one and what could be better than one handmade with love.

we have lots of cool blank calendars this year including a really nifty perpetual calendar from karen foster. sara made a really cute one and it's pretty easy, you just need the calendar, a micro bundle that includes paper & stickers, photos and a little bit of ribbon.

there's also a really cute one from sei that just needs pictures and it's ready to go. it's all pre-printed and has fun stickers to add.

and if you want to make one from scratch, come to julie's calendar class next week. they are using the fun, doodley month papers from karen foster. call us for details.

We're open today from 10-4 and our official "Snow Blizzard Sale" is in full swing! Enjoy DOUBLE KEYTAG PUNCHES and "Buy one Get One FREE" on our 6x6 MBI albums! *If you're still snowed in, we'll extend our offers via phone! Call in and purchase a gift certificate and you'll enjoy double keytag punches when using the gift certificate before 12/31/06.

And yesterday, our UPS friend brought us quite a few packages! Check out one in particular that we know many of you are eagerly awaiting...

This Saturday is Die Cut Club...here are  a few of the cute projects to be featured! Attendees will create a cute card and one of our cute boxes!

We're sending you very warm wishes from all of us at Treasury of Memories!

All your sweet emails and phone calls are so appreciated...and guess what? We'll be open Wednesday, November 29th, 10am-4pm! Woo hoo! Come see us! We'll even have some hot apple cider waiting for you!

And we're meeting tomorrow to finalize details on the next week or so. We're thinking of a fun "snow blizzard" sale, maybe a couple additional "one hour" workshops... all kinds of cool stuff! We'll put together another email for Thursday so you can get the full scoop!

Time to Cozy Up!

First, we were blessed with a beautiful snowfall. Now it looks like we're being treated to a perfect opportunity to cozy up at home! With the low temps freezing our roads, it looks like we'll need to reschedule Tuesday's Mini Book Class and our Tuesday card classes. We may try to open if our weather and roads permit...we'll keep you updated! Hope to see you soon! :) Elizabeth

my little snow"men"

  It's SOOO beautiful outside! Somewhere around a foot of snow...can you believe it?  (This pic of my lil' guy Thomas was taken early Sunday...moments later, my sister's dogs came running by and "borrowed" one of the snowman's arms! We visited our little snowman several hours later to find his bottom half buried under the snow!)

So Treasury will probably be closed all day today (unless the warm sunshine comes for a visit!)...but we hope to see you all this week! Be sure to take lots of great snow pics and we'll be ready to suit you up with lots of snow paper and accessories! (Maybe we should run a little "snow blizzard sale" later this week...what do you think?)

PLUS I'm hoping to announce a couple more holiday gift classes in the next few days...my mind's been racing with fun ideas!

mini books and cards

This is the project for this weeks "mini book" class. A fun decorated tin ready to fill with your family's favorite recipes. You can keep it for yourself or use it at a gift for the upcoming holiday. Join me on Tues. at 10:00 or Thurs. at 6:30 (please call to sign up).The class is $20 and all you need to bring is your basic class pack.


These are the great cards that we will be making in Tues. card class this week. They were designed by one of our new design team members and she is also one of our new Tues. card teachers, Tamara. The call is only $5.00 and you get to make all 3 cards...and you don't have to sign up! Just bring glue and scissors and we do the rest. Classes are at 1:00, 2:30, and 7:00.

wanna see what we made at paper party?

hi everybody!

we had so much fun last saturday at paper party! we made fun little gift tags with an assortment of stamps, punches, rhinestones, jingle bells and the stardust glitter pen. the glitter pen is a must! it is so easy to add a lot of sparkle with just a little doodling! and paper accents makes a variety of cutie little gift cards.

and don't know about paper party? it's a super fun class we have every month (usually the 3rd saturday) and it's free! call to sign up for december's asap, we are going to make a 6x6 mini album in an hour! that's right...a whole 6x6 mini album in an hour! all you will need to finish it is the album! (and we are having a huge buy 2, get 1 album special on friday...)

"Day After Thanksgiving" Sale...

Have you seen all of the fun new samples in the store?   Our design team just turned in their first batch of projects -- they did an amazing job!!  I am so proud of these girls!

Stop in for some inspiration...  lots of great cards by tamara, a darling little purse project by jennie, and a super cute mini-book-in-a-paper-mache-box by andi!   The little purse would be so fun for a little girl, filled with dress-up jewelry!  Plus, did you know, you can take digital photos of any of our samples (with the exception of classes) to re-create at home?
