this week's featured mini book!

Check out this week's super fun (and easy!) 4x6 mini book project! To create, Sara bound the “American Craft” pages with binder rings, added some fun dymo label words, lots of rhinestones, colorful ribbon and doodled around the edges with a black pen.  (Dymo words not included, but we've included a handy word sheet in case you don't have your very own dymo labeler.)

The paper is so fun and colorful…and each kit is just $10! Includes 4x6 pages, binder rings, rhinestones, ribbon and color instructions too! (We have TWO color series...this one is green/blue/orange combo and the 2nd series is a red/yellow/black combo.)

how cute are these projects?!

you can tell that the tom girls really adore the new love, elsie products because they have been making the cutest projects! seriously, they are so cute that i had to share!  

holly made the super cute clock...the roxie quilt paper is perfect for it! you just have to cut it into squares. sandy made the totally fun canvas tote. she die-cut some felt flowers and then used the chipboard buttons as the centers. the buttons are so awesome because they are self-adhesive but you can also just leave the backing on then stitch them onto your project. and then i think shawn and holly collaborated on the amazing paper mache boxes. they covered the lids with the self-adhesive fabric papers, which totally rock! one box has a cute tag tied on top and a scalloped circle mini book inside. and the other has a felt and paper flower on top that mimics the design of elsie's paper, and then one of elsie's chipboard books inside.

so fun!

This gorgeous double page layout was created by guest designer, Renee Bergeron.

We all struggle to find time to scrapbook, but Renee makes the time! She takes photos daily and orders them online once a month. When they arrive, she immediately sorts them, begins to sketch her page layouts, and gather the supplies together. Then, a couple times a month, Renee sits down to scrapbook, usually with a group of friends at a crop. Sounds easy enough, right?

Well, when you have ten children, it isn't as easy as it sounds!  But Renee thinks it is important enough to take the time for it, and limits other activities in order to persue it. (And because everyone always asks... yes, she gave birth to eight of them. No, no sets of twins. They are all under the age of twelve.  And soon there will be 13, as three children in Liberia are in the process of being adopted into this wonderful family. She is amazing!)

And if you love this layout, it's at Treasury to admire, and we even have a sketch available if you'd like to scraplift it!  Her page features Scenic Route papers and chipboard.  So the next time you say you don't have the time to scrapbook, just think of Renee for inspiration!

did you see it?

so were you one of the crazy and lucky people who saw the opening of the new pirates of the caribbean movie last night? i wasn't but i can't wait to go! we're getting into the spirit here at treasury too! we even have johnny depp on our display! and check out this awesome iron-on...i just ironed it onto the front of a chipboard mini book. next i think i might have to make tammy t a skull t-shirt!
