Meerkat, Dinosaur, Skeleton or hmmmm....

So my kiddos (especially my almost 5 year old Jackson) is fickle about Halloween costumes....first, we were going to be a family of meerkats (because we all LOVE Meerkat Manor...seriously hysterical show on Animal Planet on Friday nights at 8:30). Anyway, then it was dinosaurs because we eat and sleep dinosaurs around here. (Side note: Jackson's birthday invite list only includes people who and I quote "know something about triceratops or own a triceratops toy.") Then it was onto a skeleton because one of Jackson's school buddies is being a skeleton and it's always good to follow the crowd (?)....

But I think after a morning at the fire station with our friend Rebecca and her son Griffin (one of Jackson's best friends), we might just have Jackson settled on being a fireman...and guess what, we already have TWO fireman coats so we're all set for Halloween just in the nick of time.

Soooo I ramble on and on to get my eventual reason for posting today which is to remind everyone that we are closing early on October 31st (10am-5pm) so everyone can be home eating lots of sugar and enjoying all the little kiddos as they show off their costumes!

Ok I will just say it...I love this week's Tuesday cards!  They feature the gorgeous new "My Mind's Eye" line and they are perfect colors for fall. 

And yes I had so much fun making them that I actually created four.  :)  Several of you have asked if you can purchase all four...no worries!  (The fourth is a fun fold out card featuring lots of patterned paper and photos.)  We are making some extras, and the cost for all four will be $7. 

But as always, the set of three is only $5 and everything is included.  Simply bring your own adhesive, scissors and trimmer (score blade is recommended for good folding).

"favorite ornaments" mini book

Happy Monday everybody! 

Just a quick reminder that our mini book class is this Friday from 7 - 9 pm. 

Our featured mini book is "Favorite Ornaments," a beautiful and timeless Christmas book highlighting photos and journaling of your most unique and memorable ornaments.  I had so much fun putting this together and remembering the many stories!

This is a perfect gift for yourself and family members.  I am keeping this one for myself and making more for my parents.  It will be so special to have their personal favorites and memories (in their words, their handwriting) all together in one book.  The books will certainly be cherished and enjoyed for years to come.  I am so excited about this project and look forward to sharing it with you.    

The class is Friday, November 2nd from 7-9 pm.  A beautiful Christmas book, yummy treats and lots of good conversation and laughter...what could be better?  :)

super fun new arrival!

holly & sandy are going to be putting out a big box of goodies this afternoon, maya road sheer albums!there are scallops, snowflakes, arrows, stars and crowns and they are so cool! we've been brainstorming all the many uses...a cute mini book of course but also christmas ornaments, gift tags, window decorations, the list goes on.

my pumpkin pails...

i had to share because i think they are so great and i just love them! elizabeth designed the super cute jack o'lantern face out of vinyl, it goes on the clear pails so easily and then you just add candy! my mama, my sister, my dad and my kelly are all getting one in the mail. (and actually my hubby is getting one too but not until halloween. so shh, it's a secret.)

so have you been waiting to hear what's new?

it's jenni bowlin studios and i'm in love! it's so wonderful and beautiful and i'm so excited! and if you're nice to me, i'll share. i'm going to use it for my christmas cards and maybe some for my wedding album...and probably everything i scrapbook for the next 3 months (good thing i don't scrapbook in chronological order). :)
