i'm "snow" glad it's die cut club tomorrow!

   

Okay, I admit that I'm not quite ready for snow, but I AM excited about the new dies we have in the store!!  One happens to be this ADORABLE snowman & it can also be used for a snowglobe!  We'll be making these two fun cards tomorrow, plus I will show you the new dies we got in & a couple of other fun projects you can make for the holidays using our dies.  Classes are on Saturday, (tomorrow) at 10, 11 & 12:00.  Die Cut Club members, as you know, this is a free class to you.  However, if you are NOT a Die Cut Club member, & REALLY want to know more about our fabulous die cuts, it's only $12 for a membership, which entitles you to a whole year's unlimited use of our die cut machines--just in time to make cards for the holidays, & fun once-a-month die cut projects!! We'd love for you to join us & find out how fun it is!  Bring in your adhesives & scissors & we'll see you tomorrow!

Let's talk about Christmas! :)
Specifically, let's talk about the Holiday Open House that's coming up. 
It's November 8th.  And by the way, November always has a way of sneaking up on me.
You're all happy...enjoying fall...Halloween is coming up, and the next thing you know, WHAM! it's November.
Pssssst...that's tomorrow.
So...since the Holiday Open House is just a week away, I thought it would be fun to show you the super fun 5 projects we'll be making.  And if 5 amazing projects weren't enough...there's great deals & yummy food too.

card of the week

welcome to our second installment of card of the week! i know it's only october but it's fun to start making an "idea file" for holiday cards and this one is one of my favorites!

supplies:

• Natural Chex cardstock
• Bluegrass cardstock
• Recycled Kraft cardstock
• Three Trees stamp set by Hero Arts
• Lettuce, Meadow & Bottle Adirondack inks
• Oynx Black VersaFine ink
• spray bottle with water

instructions:

• cut Kraft cardstock to 4.25"x11" and score at 5.5" on the longer side.
• cut Bluegrass cardstock to 3.75"x5" and Natural cardstock to 3.75"x4".
• ink tree stamp first with Lettuce, then add Meadow and Bottle around the edges. Before stamping, mist the inked stamp with water about 2-3 times. Then stamp. As the stamp dries it will take on a watercolored look. This awesome technique is called Brushless Watercolor, the beautiful look of watercoloring without a brush! This technique works best with stamps that have a flat design. And when using multiple shades of ink, always start with lightest and end with the darkest so the ink pads won't become contaminated.
• let trees dry and then stamp "Merry Christmas" in black.
• adhere Natural cardstock to Bluegrass. Then tear and ruffle Bluegrass cardstock as desired by using fingernail (or paper piercer/needle/etc) to separate paper layers. Roll and tear layers as desired.
• then adhere to card.

don't you LOVE this technique?! we have all the supplies here at treasury, including hero arts spray bottles, which trust me really are the best (others spray too much water). and we also have tons more cute card ideas!

Hello, everyone!  It's that creative time again...to get together with your fellow scrapbookers & make those 3 little cards!  I know that Halloween is just upon us, but it's never too early to start making Christmas cards, not to mention how fun!!! These holiday cards are created with some pretty Kaiser Christmas paper and super-cute buttons & ribbons from daisy d's.  All of these cards are great sizes to stick a Christmas picture in or that Christmas letter you swore you'd write this year.  (No excuses, because we're giving you a way to get ahead of the game!)  So don't forget to bring your adhesives--(glue stick and glue dots), $5 & trimmer--& we'll see you Tuesday at either 1 or 7!

this one of my favorite holiday lines this year! it's so bright & fun. there's double-sided patterned paper, shimmer paper, snowflake glitter lace paper and really cool new sheer delights (think patterned & edged acetate)! and then there's tons of awesome embellishments! it's going to be a colorful christmas with ki festive.
