Don't you just love this quote? "All Summer Long, Don't Forget to Let the Sunshine in...in your life, in your heart, in your soul." Totally inspired us to make this cheery, flower filled canvas!
Wanna have some of your very own "flower fun?" To make these paper flowers, all you'll need are some My Mind's Eye papers, adhesive (Quickgrip) and a couple buttons.
Okay so this little polka dot yellow/green flower...super easy. Simply cut a strip of paper, fold it accordion style back and forth in small increments (about 1/2 inch). Then glue the very ends together. This is where it gets a little fun (aka tricky). By putting a glob of Quickgrip on a small circle, you bring the flower together and you simply rest it on the "glob of Quickgrip." Kind of confusing without seeing it in person, isn't it? (Did I mention you can learn FIRSTHAND how to make this fun flower this Saturday, May 16th at our FREE Paper Party? Classes held at 10am, 11am and 12pm...give us a holler and we'll get you all signed up...and you're sure to become a paper flower expert!)
This red polka dot flower is made using six circles. By folding over the sides of each circle, we make funky petals. Then again using our trusty Quickgrip, adhere to the circle below. Hide the inner edges of the petals with a big ol' button.
We hope to see YOU very soon! --Elizabeth :)
