have a confession to make. I am really bad at returning Tupperware. Don't loan it to me! Once it gets home and goes in with all the other dirty dishes... I don't know the difference between what's yours, what's mine, and what's my roommates. So then it all becomes mine.
And then I realized I could put vinyl on my Tupperware! I think this is my new vinyl slogan... "Vinyl, keeping me honest since 2010." It has a nice ring to it, anyways.
For those of you with a Silhouette or Cricut machine, I think this is a really great beginners project! It's a fun, low-stress way to experiment with your personal die cutting machine and vinyl!
You will need vinyl in a fun color of your choice, your Silhouette or Cricut machine, Transfer tape, and some Tupperware to label.
For my labels, I used the font "chewy stewy" from our friends over at www.kevinandamanda.com. I cut the label using my silhouette, weeded (industry term for picking out all the extra junk) it using a simple box cutter, applied the transfer paper, and then transfered my design onto my tupperware.

Happy Friday, beautiful blog followers!
I hope you all had a great week and that Friday got here fast. I know my Friday got here so fast, I couldn't handle it. I literally thought that last night was Wednesday.
So, friends, here's the thing. I've been thinking lately, about you and me, and that conversation we were going to have about men. I realized, we really don't know each other that well yet. (That and I literally thought yesterday was Wednesday and ergo was not prepared to do the post I was going to!)
My blog for next week is going to be about the men in our lives. With Father's Day coming up I'm very aware of how hard it is to shop/craft for men. So let's get to know one another, leave me a comment telling me the worst gift you ever got for one of the men in your life (brother, father, hubby, boyfriend, etc), as well as about a time you absolutely aced it, and got him a gift he loved!
Next week, I'll tell you about some of my gift-giving fiascos, and share with you some of the wonderful man-gifts I've been able to make with vinyl!

You might be wondering what a “Fresh Friday” is… Fresh Fridays
are a new weekly blog contribution brought to you by myself, Heidi Fay. I am Treasury’s in-house Vinyl Guru.
Yes, that’s right: Guru. I even looked it up in the
dictionary to make sure I was using it correctly. I must be using it correctly because that's my picture next to the definition.
I have been working in the vinyl department here at
Treasury for two years now. If you shopped our old store, you might have
noticed me frantically weeding, masking, and bagging up in the classroom. Maybe
I even helped you with a special order?
I am one of the lucky people in this world who loves
their job. Maybe not all aspects of
my job (have you ever wondered how all of
those vinyl pieces get tucked neatly into their bags?), but I am absolutely in love with the
product I create here.
If you were to come to my house to visit, you would see
how much I love vinyl. There is vinyl on my walls, hidden inside my cupboards, adorning
canvas, Tupperware containers, album covers, water bottles; I’ve even used it
to glass etch a set of custom drinking glasses. . . No surface is safe.
On long holiday weekends, spent away from the vinyl machine at work, I have been known to pull out my silhouette and create vinyl at home.
I want to use this blog to share my love of vinyl with
you; to inspire you with some of my favorite custom designs and vinyl applications
and, on the third Friday of the month, to debut our vinyl of the month.
I
hope that you will meet me here on Friday mornings, so that I can inspire you
with some fun, FRESH ideas for vinyl!
Oh! And if
you were paying attention, you may have noticed today is the third Friday of the
month… stay tuned for our Vinyl of the Month debut later this afternoon!
